Wow... I finally made it over here. What a wonderful trip around the lake, the way it's shaped, feels like a series of lakes joined together. I would love to see it at night.I have to confess to a little private fantasy I have that takes place at the lake. It involves fire-flies... are there lightning bugs in CA? And it's very important that there be NO mosquitoes... heehee. Now I have a more detailed mental image of the setting, and it couldn't be lovlier.Back to reality... what a beautiful place Michael had. Fifteen years wasn't long enough, it should have been his home for the rest of a long life. (I want an alternate reality where that's what happens!)Thanks for this lovely site, E.
Yes, it does feel like a series of lakes, but in fact there is just one, oddly shaped lake. (It looks like one of natures own creations rather than a man made one.)I do not know if there are fireflies in the Santa Ynez Valley. Maybe there are some experts out there who knows? *waves her hands in the air* "Hello! Help! Are there fireflies in the valley? Anyone?"I agree, fifteen years was not enough. I would have loved for Michael to have been able to grown old there and enjoy his retired life with his children and grandchildren.
What a magical and beautiful place Michael created... oh how I would love to have been able to see it...I am giggling picturing what Helen's fantasy would involve...Michael and her in the lake...only being lit up by the fireflies that are swarming around...am I warm??? LOL
Maybe there will be a chance to see it sometime in the future. Who knows? I have not completely lost hope, but of course it will not be the same without Michael, the amusement park and the zoo. And Helen...Who knows what she is fantasizing about... :)
